Dorothy Elaine Castille was born on August 09, 1933 in Lafayette, LA, she entered into eternal rest on October 18, 2015, She attended St Paul's Catholic School, (which is now Holy Family Catholic School), in Lafayette, LA, and was a proud graduate of Holy Rosary Institute in 1953. Following graduation she attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA and earned her BA in Education/Teaching in 1964. Dorothy worked for Lafayette Parish School System for many years until her retirement in May 30, 1990, she taught for two more years after retirement. After retirement, she was very active in several religious, social and civic organizations. As a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Little Theresa Court #11 of the Knights of Peter Claver, Knights of Peter Claver Fourth Degree Ladies of Grace Chapter 3, she was known locally, regionally and nationally for her active participation, which spanned many years. Dorothy was involved with the KPC Jr. Daughters to transition them to the Ladies Auxiliary. No matter what name she was called, "A True Friend" was the label that stood out above them all. In the 1980's, she was labeled a "Golden Girl" after one of the characters on the TV sitcom, and just like the lyrics of the show's theme song, "Thank You for Being a Friend", she was always there to help anyone anytime she was asked. Dot enjoyed many things but being with her friends, listening to various types of music and having fun at different social gatherings was her claim to fame. As the "tickle master", she was known to sneak up behind someone to tickle them until they pleaded with her to stop. Her greatest joy, however, was helping others when they needed a helping hand. No matter the request, she was willing to offer her assistance. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories, her brother Walter Bias, Jr. of Beaumont, TX; two sisters, Veronica Castille of Lafayette, LA and Vivian Castille Roberts of Texas; goddaughter Denise Reynaud of Los Angeles, CA; godson Attorney Quami Benjamin, of Lafayette, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The record reflects the deceased, Robert Kenneth Perkins, left his daughter's home in Tulsa, Oklahoma on the morning of December 23, 1974. He was to visit his sister in Norman, Oklahoma and his ultimate destination was the Y O Ranch in Texas at Mountain Home near Kerrville where he was employed.

Sheriff Brantley Barker arrived at the scene and had the body removed to a funeral home in San Saba. An autopsy was performed in San Antonio the next day by Bexar County Medical Examiner Dr. Ruben Santos. Two bullet holes were found, one behind the right ear and one on the right side of the neck. Two bullets or fragments *366 were removed from the deceased's head and neck and turned over to the sheriff. Dr. Santos related the bullet wounds to the head and neck caused the death and the wounds had been caused by a small caliber gun. He was not questioned as to the time of death.

The deceased's body was found north of San Saba and a day or two after Christmas a boat was reported to be three or four miles south of San Saba and was recovered by the sheriff. This evidence was apparently offered to show that whomever committed the crime charged left the body and continued in a southerly direction. The problem is that no evidence was offered to show that the recovered boat was similar to the one being pulled by the deceased nor was any evidence of ownership or registration demonstrated to connect the recovered boat with the one in the deceased's possession on December 24th. 2ff7e9595c
